I have contributed to the Python community in multiple roles: • Contributed to NVDA (2010–2013), improving Japanese text-to-speech and NLP for this Python-based screen reader. • Organized PyCon mini and other tech conferences in Hiroshima. As PyCon JP 2025 chair, I am leading efforts to bring PyCon JP to Hiroshima—its first time outside Tokyo— expanding Python community activities beyond the capital. At PyCon US, I aim to learn about: • Conference management for better attendee experience. • Building global relationships with Python communities. • Sponsor engagement and regional conference support. • Inclusive session planning and diverse participation. • Balancing regional strengths with international standards. These insights will help shape PyCon JP 2025 as a model for international tech conferences in regional Japan.
